The Big Picture
The big picture of this application's uses is that we would like eventually for anyone with a visual disability to scan a Microsoft Tag immediately outside or just inside any entrance to any building. The application will then download the appropriate map and Microsoft Tag references for that building. The user now has at their fingertips navigation information for the building, references to any commonly used room (ex: restrooms), warnings about possible dangers in the building, locations of special events in the building. The intention of the application is to help the visually disabled gain a greater degree of independence and mobility.
